Fatal Crash: 24-Year-Old CT Man Loses Control, Strikes Several Objects

A 24-year-old Connecticut man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck several items.

New London County resident Brandon Burnette was killed around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, on Butts Bridge Road at the intersection of Quinebaug Camp Road in Windham County in Canterbury.

Burnette, who was driving a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300, was traveling south on Butts Bridge Road in the town of Canterbury when for an unknown reason he left the lane of travel and struck several objects along the roadside, Connecticut State Police said.

He was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, police said,

Burnette was pronounced dead at the scene.
